The neighbourhood is located above the bowl of the city and the Tabour Mountain foothills can be seen in the distance. Thanks to its location on the west side of Prince George, Vista Ridge has easy access to essential shopping and is only 20 minutes away from West Lake Provincial Park, a popular destination during the summer months. The majority of the homes in this neighbourhood range from $800,000 to $1,500,000 and it has a very quiet character.

- Shopping & Dining: A 5 minute drive is all it takes to reach the nearby College Heights Plaza and the SmartCentre near Southridge. These centres include major retailers like Save-On_Foods, Canadian Tire, Walmart, and Home Depot. Locally owned restaurants and chain offerings are present here as well.
- Schools & Playgrounds: Vista Ridge has several schools nearby, some of which may be within walking distance depending on your exact location. You’ll find Southridge Elementary, Malaspina Elementary, and Polaris Montessori Elementary serving this neighbourhood. Two private schools are also located nearby: Immaculate Conception and Westside Academy. Each school has playground facilities.

Vista Ridge is a development that is mostly completed. There are very few, if any, remaining lots for sale in this neighbourhood. Over the years, the homes in this neighbourhood do change hands so you can keep an eye out for new listings on Vista Ridge Drive, Vista View Road, and Vista Rise Road.
